Welcome to the Practice | MK, our first blog post which is our way of letting you know who we are and what we do.
We are currently based in the Mansion House at Bletchley Park, Milton Keynes. The practice aims to provide affordable psychological family services to improve the well-being and mental health of clients. First and foremost we are private and so we can offer you appointments within 3 to 5 working days and even sometimes, on the day!
We see clients by appointment only which means when you arrive you wont be sat in a waiting room full of people. In fact, you should never be waiting at all!
For those who work in Central Milton Keynes we will soon be moving to new premises that will allow you to leave work, have your appointment and be back at your desk within 90 minutes (based on a 50 minute appointment).
Our services include counselling, psychological support, coaching, family mediation, educational assessments and autism diagnostic services. We are one of the only psychological based family practices in the UK that can offer all these services under one roof.
This means for our clients we are able to offer a range of tailored interventions drawing on the experience and expertise of our counsellors, psychologists, coaches and family mediators. We are able to assess, diagnose and support a wide range of psychological and educational conditions and deliver professional, accredited services to support you and or your family.
All of our team hold professional membership with reputable associations including the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), the Association for Coaching (AC) and the British Psychological Society (BPS).
They all maintain continuous professional development, professional insurance and enhanced DBS Certificates so you know you are in safe hands.
So how we begun
Our Practice begun in 2013 when a patient of a local GP Surgery was referred to Katherine Goodsell, Director and Principal Psychologist. Katherine had been working for a private hospital specialising in Autism diagnostic, intervention and support at the time and enjoyed the freedom that working for yourself could offer.
We discussed the possibility of further referrals and how our practice would work. We were keen to focus on the aims of the practice and how we would deliver exceptional client service whilst maintaining affordability. We started work and have never looked back.
Where we are now
The practice is moving into an exciting period of change where we are soon moving into more purpose built premises which will allow us to serve more clients and improve upon our client care experience.
We have a new website which is still under development! Forgive us, we just could not get it finished in time.
A new reception team is now ready to take your calls and answer your questions as best they can. We are also happy to answer any questions you may have regarding our services via our email address, firstname.lastname@example.org
We will soon be publishing articles and self help guides on our blog which you are welcome to view and download. The articles will be written by professional researchers and writers and so you can be assured the information you are seeking is current, reliable and most importantly, helps you.
If you would like to receive our mailing list and be sent the latest articles as soon as they are available then please email us and we can add your email to our growing list.
